When building my DIY quadcopter, I realized that I forgot a special property of carbon fibers… I mounted the power distribution board using some double-side tape. Unfortunatly, the tape was not thick enough and some pins were able to punch through the tape and touch the quadcopter frame.
Of course, this happened randomly, creating various issues like one motor not behaving correctly. Until, it ended up with a lot of smoke :

So next time you want to attach something to the carbon fiber frame of your quadcopter using double-side tape, think twice…
